Six Moroccan Apaches delivered despite US transmission inspections

Morocco has received six AH-64E Apache attack helicopters, a model temporarily grounded in the US military. Around 400 aircraft may be subject to transmission inspections, while US media are questioning modifications made to the Moroccan helicopters, according to Stars and Stripes.
The US Army has suspended flights of AH-64E Apache helicopters equipped with a transmission system known as the “Improved Drive System” in order to carry out inspections and corrective work. The measure, decided on 2 October, potentially affects around 400 aircraft, according to the US military newspaper Stars and Stripes, cited by Bladi.
Morocco received six AH-64Es at a ceremony held on 26 October in Salé. It has not been established whether the transmission system targeted by the inspections is present on these aircraft. Questioned by Stars and Stripes, the US SETAF-AF command referred the newspaper to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the agency responsible for US arms sales abroad, which had not responded by 28 October.
The question arises after the six Apache helicopters were received by Morocco’s Royal Air Force, as announced on 28 October. It also follows the receipt by Morocco of six additional Apaches, reported on the same day.
