The Senegalese oil field Sangomar produced an average of 94,000 barrels per day in the third quarter of 2026, of which 73,000 went to Woodside, giving the operator 6.758 million barrels. This volume was down 14% quarter on quarter and 10.1% year on year, according to its quarterly report.
Sangomar produced an average of 94,000 barrels of oil per day in the third quarter of 2026, of which 73,000 barrels went to Woodside, the Australian operator of the project. The volume attributed to the company reached 6.758 million barrels, down 14% from the previous quarter, according to Woodside’s quarterly report cited by Seneweb.
Woodside-attributed production also fell 10.1% year on year, from 7.516 million barrels in the third quarter of 2025. In the first nine months of 2026, it stood at 21.764 million barrels, compared with 21.922 million a year earlier, while the project recorded operational reliability of 99.2%, according to the same report.
Woodside attributed the change to the field’s natural decline and the reduction in its net share under the production-sharing contract after recovering costs incurred before the final investment decision. Despite the fall in volumes, its Sangomar-related revenue reached $1.946 billion in the first nine months of 2026, 32.6% higher than in the same period of 2025.
