Pastef-Les Patriotes has announced a press conference on 25 October 2026, one hour after Senegalese Prime Minister Al Aminou Lô’s meeting on the supplementary budget. The party did not specify the purpose of the meeting with journalists, according to Seneweb.

Senegalese party Pastef-Les Patriotes will hold a press conference on Sunday 25 October from 5pm, one hour after the one announced by Prime Minister Al Aminou Lô on the 2026 supplementary finance bill. The party announced the meeting on its digital platforms, Seneweb reports.

The meeting comes after the supplementary budget was rejected by the Finance and Budgetary Oversight Committee. Pastef’s parliamentary group voted against the text in committee. The party’s press conference follows that of the prime minister, who is due to present the supplementary budget on the same day.

The meeting is part of a broader debate on the government’s budgetary choices. Pastef has already called for social spending to be maintained and set five conditions for its support for the budget, while the Finance and Budgetary Oversight Committee rejected the text.
