Paris Saint-Germain scored 20 goals in their first four matches of the 2026-2027 Champions League, a record at this stage of an edition with a group or league phase. The French club surpassed Bayern Munich’s 17 goals in 2021-2022, according to Opta data reported by Reuters.
PSG began by beating Slovan Bratislava 6-1, then Manchester City 4-2 and FC Barcelona 4-2, before winning 6-0 at Villarreal on 3 November. This took their record to four wins, 20 goals scored and five conceded, for a goal difference of +15.
At Villarreal, Luis Enrique’s team were 4-0 ahead after 16 minutes and two seconds, a record for the fastest time to reach that score in the Champions League, according to Opta. João Neves, Désiré Doué, Senny Mayulu and Fabián Ruiz scored in the first half, before Ruiz’s second goal and David Boly’s goal after the break.
After the matches on 4 November, PSG share the lead in the league phase with Real Madrid on 12 points, but are ahead of the Spanish club on goal difference. They will host AS Roma on 25 November, then travel to Aston Villa on 8 December, before an away match at Como on 20 January and a home game against Galatasaray on 27 January.
The Paris performance came after Villarreal’s 6-0 win against PSG, which was discussed on 4 November. On the same day, Real Madrid beat AEK 3-2, joining PSG at the top with 12 points.
