The victory moved the English club into third place with 10 points and extended its unbeaten away run in the competition to 10 matches, a record for Arsenal, according to the report published on the club’s website. David Raya made several saves in the second half to preserve the visitors’ advantage.

Madueke’s goal came in the ninth minute after a pass from Gyökeres. The Swede then doubled the lead in the 38th minute after a recovery by Mikel Merino and a combination with him. Despite five minutes of added time and several chances for Slavia, Arsenal held on to the three points, reports Punch.

Arsenal’s victory came two days after the publication of an article about Slavia Prague’s risk of a record without a win, on 2 November. The English club was also coming off a 1-0 Premier League win over Liverpool on 1 November.
