Pape Guèye reflects on Villarreal’s 6-0 defeat by PSG

Senegalese player Pape Guèye discussed Villarreal’s 6-0 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain, the heaviest of his career. The midfielder said he reviewed the match with the club’s video analyst to understand Paris’s attacking movements, according to an interview with DAZN.

Pape Guèye said he spent part of the night reviewing Villarreal’s 6-0 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain with the club’s video analyst. The Senegalese midfielder told DAZN that it was the first time he had conceded six goals in a match and the heaviest defeat of his career, reports Seneweb.

The former Olympique de Marseille player attributed Villarreal’s difficulties to the coordinated movements of the Parisian team. He notably mentioned Achraf Hakimi’s and young French midfielder Senny Mayulu’s appearances around him, while the Spanish club conceded four goals in eight minutes.

The reaction came the day after Villarreal’s defeat and Pape Guèye and Nicolas Jackson beaten in the Champions League, reported on 3 November.
