S. F. Guèye, 19, was arrested on 31 October 2026 in Pikine after a complaint over the alleged theft of 300,000 CFA francs from A. Sarr's home. The suspect admits to a theft but says the amount was 20,000 CFA francs, according to Seneweb.

A. Sarr, a 30-year-old trader living in Pikine Technopole, filed a complaint on 2 October 2026 after a pouch containing, according to her, 300,000 CFA francs disappeared from her home. S. F. Guèye, a 19-year-old dried-fish seller living in Thiaroye-Gare, was arrested at around 8pm on 31 October, then admitted to the theft while claiming he had stolen only 20,000 CFA francs, reports Seneweb.

During questioning, S. F. Guèye said he had met A. Sarr on TikTok and regularly paid for her sexual services. The complainant rejected this version, but investigators found adverts offering paid sexual relations on her phone, reports Seneweb. She was placed in custody for not being registered in the health register, while the young man was held for theft.

Investigators also had both parties tested for HIV after S. F. Guèye's statements about unprotected sexual relations. At the end of the procedure, they were brought before prosecutor Saliou Dicko, reports Seneweb.
