Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado has returned to Venezuela after nearly a year in exile and met her supporters at a church in Barquisimeto. Her return could increase pressure on interim President Delcy Rodríguez, who has been in power since Nicolás Maduro was ousted in January, reports Citizen.

María Corina Machado’s return follows the announcement of her return to Venezuela, published on 25 October. It comes as Venezuela’s government and opposition have begun a review of the ban on standing for office, announced on 22 October.
