Bus falls 20 metres near Barcelona, injuring 83

A bus accident near Fogars de Montclús, in Barcelona province, Spain, injured 83 people, four seriously. The vehicle fell from a 20-metre embankment after a collision, according to RTVE, while the toll was reported by Catalonia’s emergency medical service and DPA.

A bus fell from an embankment more than 20 metres high near Fogars de Montclús, in the Montseny natural park, north-east of Barcelona, on Sunday afternoon. The accident injured 83 people, four of them seriously, according to Catalonia’s emergency medical service (SEM), cited by the DPA news agency.

The four seriously injured people were taken to hospital. Spanish public broadcaster RTVE reports that the bus overturned after a collision in this mountainous area of Barcelona province.
