Libreville city council says its e-Taxe platform for the digital declaration and payment of municipal taxes and fees is 95% operational, Infos Gabon reports. Mayor Eugène M’ba presented it on Friday 30 October 2026 at a ceremony at the municipal council.

Launched on 12 June, the platform is intended to make procedures easier for taxpayers and businesses, improve revenue monitoring and reduce processing times. The municipality also expects digitisation to limit cash handling and the risk of losses, errors or irregularities.

The project was launched in 2025 and a prototype was developed in January 2026. The city council places its rollout within the modernisation of municipal services and presidential policies linked to the “Fonds 4”.
