Kenyan UDA officials are urging Kalonzo Musyoka to join President William Ruto’s government, believing his alliance with Rigathi Gachagua could marginalise him politically. Senator Beth Syengo made the appeal during a funeral in Nuu, Kitui County, according to Citizen Digital.
A UDA official, the party of Kenyan President William Ruto, has called on Kalonzo Musyoka, leader of the Wiper party, to join the government. Nominated Senator Beth Syengo said at a funeral in Nuu, in Mwingi Central constituency, that Kalonzo would be welcomed and respected in the presidential camp, according to Citizen Digital.
Beth Syengo accused former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of orchestrating the heckling directed at Kalonzo Musyoka during the launch of the Linda Mwananchi movement in Lavington, Nairobi. She said the alliance between Kalonzo and Gachagua could expose the Wiper leader to further political frustrations and called on him to quickly choose his direction ahead of the 2027 general election.
UDA officials want Kalonzo Musyoka to cooperate with William Ruto, who is seeking a second term. The Wiper leader had previously called on the Kenyan opposition to unite for the 2027 election, on 25 October.
