Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone says the duo Goodlyfe, made up of Mowzey Radio and Weasel, pushed him to return to the studio and improve his songs. He discussed the musical rivalry during a TikTok live broadcast on 30 October 2026, Imvaho Nshya reports.

Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone said Mowzey Radio and Weasel, the two members of the late group Goodlyfe, had pushed him to return to the studio regularly to improve his music. He spoke during a TikTok live broadcast on the night of 30 October, according to Imvaho Nshya.

Jose Chameleone explained that Goodlyfe’s frequent releases and ability to produce popular songs had compelled him to maintain a high standard. He cited a musical rivalry around Radio and Weasel’s song “Sitani” and “Bayuda”, which he released in response. He also recounted performing “Bayuda” at Club Silk in front of the two artists, prompting them to leave the venue.

The singer estimated that Mowzey Radio and Weasel may have recorded nearly 150 songs. Mowzey Radio died on 1 February 2018, but his work with Weasel continues to be associated with the golden age of Ugandan popular music.
