Iran demands Washington accept seven conditions before nuclear talks

Iran refuses to resume nuclear talks under pressure and demands that Washington accept its seven demands unconditionally, Iranian Parliament First Deputy Speaker Ali Nikzad said. The position comes as Iranian and Qatari officials continue discussions to revive mediation before the US elections on 3 November, The Zambian Observer reports.
Iran refuses to resume negotiations on its nuclear programme under pressure and demands that Washington accept its seven demands unconditionally before a new diplomatic framework is opened. Ali Nikzad, First Deputy Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, told MPs on Sunday that the period of negotiations with Iran’s adversaries was over, according to The Zambian Observer.
Iranian army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia warned that a new war with the United States could last longer than the previous conflict. He added that Donald Trump would decide neither how long it lasted nor the conditions for its end, according to the same outlet.
The statements come as talks between Iranian and Qatari officials continue, led by Doha in an attempt to reach an agreement with Washington. They follow the presentation of seven Iranian conditions to Donald Trump by Mojtaba Khamenei on 29 October, according to the article on these conditions, while Qatar revives the talks.
