Arsenal beat Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield thanks to a goal from Kai Havertz in the 16th minute and have 24 points at the top of the Premier League, according to Punch, Seneweb and The Maravi Post. Seneweb and The Maravi Post say it was the Gunners’ first league win at Anfield since 2012; Seneweb adds that Havertz became the competition’s all-time leading German goalscorer, with 46 goals. Daily Post reports that Liverpool dominated the early exchanges and that Andoni Iraola regretted the first 15 minutes.

Kai Havertz scored after goalkeeper Alisson Becker mishandled a pass, according to Punch. Seneweb specifies that the German turned in a cross from Declan Rice at the far post. The Maravi Post reports that Arsenal protected their lead, while Liverpool failed to seriously trouble the opposition defence.

Daily Post reports, however, that Liverpool dominated the early exchanges at Anfield. Their coach, Andoni Iraola, said he regretted the first 15 minutes of the match, during which Arsenal took the lead in the 16th minute after a team move, according to the outlet.

Seneweb says that before the match, Liverpool had won 18 Premier League games against Arsenal, who had won 26, while 24 matches had ended in a draw.
