Guinean-Bissau’s Minister of Social Communication, Abduramane Turé, says new state commitments should be based on realistic objectives and available resources. INACEP’s planning retreat is to produce an activity programme and budget for 2027, with priorities including digital modernisation and stronger operational capacity, according to O Democrata.

Guinean-Bissau’s Minister of Social Communication, Abduramane Turé, called on Thursday 29 October for the financial capacity of INACEP to be assessed before the state takes on new commitments. He was speaking at the opening of a retreat devoted to the institution’s 2027 activity plan, reports O Democrata.

The two-day meeting is expected to produce INACEP’s budget and activity plan for 2027. Turé called for planning to be based on clear priorities, realistic objectives and resources in line with the institution’s means. He cited technological modernisation, digital transformation, stronger operational capacity and staff development in particular.

INACEP Director General Lemes Monteiro said the retreat would lead to the preparation of these documents. He also listed the regularisation, through the social security system, of the status of employees who have reached retirement age among the institution’s priorities.

The meeting follows the minister’s call to continue modernising INACEP, made on 15 October. It comes as the institution prepares its programme and budget for 2027.
