The Liberal Democratic Movement says its president Aliou Bah was transferred on 7 October from Coyah civil prison to an undisclosed location. Three days later, his lawyers had received no official information about his whereabouts, the reasons for the transfer or his detention conditions, according to the party.

The Mouvement démocratique libéral (MoDeL), the Guinean party led by Aliou Bah, says his lawyers do not know where he is since his transfer from Coyah civil prison. In a statement published on Friday 9 October 2026, the party called on the authorities to officially communicate about his situation, Visionguinee reports.

According to MoDeL, Aliou Bah was transferred during the night of 6 to 7 October to a destination that was not communicated to his lawyers. The party says it has received neither information about where he is nor an explanation for the reasons for his transfer.
