In Egypt, Chérif Mohamed Abdallah Haïdara, president of the Organised Businessmen’s Group (GOHA International), called on Arab and international investors to finance Guinea’s economic opportunities. He made the appeal after receiving the award for best promoter of trade in African countries at the “Award of Excellence – The Arab Women Investors Union”, reports Mosaiqueguinee.
At the first edition of the Alamein-Africa Forum, the leader highlighted Guinea’s bauxite reserves and the Simandou iron ore project. He also cited the Simandou 2040 programme, which provides for investment in roads, railways, healthcare, drinking water and electricity, as well as the country’s agricultural potential and the authorities’ efforts to protect investors, according to Mosaiqueguinee.
The remarks came after Chérif Mohamed Abdallah Haïdara took part in a prayer for peace in Guinea on 16 October. They also form part of the economic prospects associated with the Simandou project, presented in an earlier article as potentially bringing Guinea $2.5 billion in 2040.
