Nicolas Jackson has scored seven goals in 11 matches for Aston Villa, following his move from Chelsea for a fixed fee of 55 million euros. His manager, Unai Emery, believes the Senegalese forward has improved and can still reach a higher level, in comments reported by the Birmingham Mail and relayed by wiwsport.

Nicolas Jackson has scored seven goals in 11 matches for Aston Villa since arriving from Chelsea, according to Senego. The 25-year-old Senegalese forward has received only two yellow cards this season, compared with seven in his first 14 appearances for the London club.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery believes Jackson can continue to improve through hard work, attitude and consistency. “I believe in him,” the manager said in comments reported by the Birmingham Mail and then relayed by wiwsport, highlighting his forward’s daily commitment and determination.

Emery gave Jackson his debut at Villarreal in October 2021 and believes the Senegalese player has matured since then. He wants to help him build his confidence further and make better use of his qualities, as the player works to bridge the gap between his current level and Aston Villa’s expectations. The club signed him from Chelsea for a fixed fee of 55 million euros.

This performance comes after recent exchanges about the Senegal international’s future. On 27 October, Mohamed Sarr advised him to stay for another two seasons, while Jackson spoke on 24 October about Ibrahim Mbaye’s assist.
