Marc Guéhi, Manchester City defender and England international, is due to undergo a medical examination on Sunday for a hip problem to determine whether he can join the England squad this week. The 26-year-old came off at half-time in Manchester City's 3-1 defeat by Nottingham Forest on Saturday after requesting to be substituted, according to MyJoyOnline.
Guéhi's unavailability would jeopardise his participation in the next two UEFA Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain. England host Croatia at Wembley on Thursday 12 November before travelling to Madrid on Saturday 15 November to face world champions Spain.
England manager Thomas Tuchel will have to await the medical staff's assessment before deciding on the defender's availability. Guéhi has been a regular starter for the team since Tuchel took charge of the national side in January 2025 and had started all but one of England's matches at the World Cup, as well as all four Nations League matches played in September and October.
