Paris Saint-Germain have decided to rest Achraf Hakimi before his departure for the Morocco national team camp. The defender will therefore miss Saturday's Ligue 1 match against Troyes after a busy schedule, according to Paris Saint-Germain.

Paris Saint-Germain have decided to give Morocco international Achraf Hakimi a rest before his departure for the Morocco national team camp. The full-back will be absent on Saturday against Troyes in Ligue 1, the Paris club announced on Friday.

The rest is to continue until the start of the international break, as part of measures taken by PSG to limit fatigue linked to a busy schedule. Hakimi scored a hat-trick for the Paris club against Le Havre last week, according to Paris Saint-Germain.

Morocco are due to face Niger on 13 and 17 November in the third and fourth rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, according to Yabiladi. PSG will also be without French midfielder Maghnes Akliouche, who suffered a calf injury on Tuesday during the 6-0 Champions League win over Villarreal.

Hakimi's absence comes a week after his hat-trick for PSG at Le Havre on 30 October. It also follows the Paris club's announcement on 31 October of plans to extend his contract. Achraf Hakimi's hat-trick with PSG at Le Havre had marked his previous match with the club.
