Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid, accuses Morocco of seeking to secure the 2030 World Cup final, amid rivalry with Spain. Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and the Grand Stade Hassan II in Benslimane are competing to host the final, according to Afrik-Foot.

Isabel Díaz Ayuso, president of the Community of Madrid and a member of Spain's People's Party (PP), accuses Morocco of wanting to “steal” the organisation of the 2030 World Cup final from Spain. In an interview with Telecinco, she said the position of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, president of the PP, was “reasonable” as he threatens to withdraw Spain from organising the tournament if the final is not played on its territory.

The final is the subject of competition between Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid and the Grand Stade Hassan II under construction in Benslimane, Morocco. The latter is expected to have around 115,000 seats, compared with an estimated capacity of 114,000 spectators for the Pyongyang stadium in North Korea, according to Afrik-Foot.

Feijóo said on 5 November that Spain should withdraw from organising the World Cup if it did not host the final. Le360 Sport responded by asking since when the 2030 World Cup had belonged to Spain, while the final decision on awarding the match remains pending from FIFA.
