The forecasts set revenue and expenditure at the same amount. The proposal is intended to establish the financial framework for the government’s economic action next year, amid a structural decline in hydrocarbon production and efforts to find non-oil revenue.

Executed expenditure amounted to 1,250.433 billion, down 13%, and the year ended with a deficit of 37.416 billion.

In the first half of 2026, revenue collected totalled 507.042 billion CFA francs, against expenditure of 424.361 billion, giving a provisional surplus of 82.681 billion.
