Djibouti has opened a three-day workshop to prepare for its 2027 World Bank B-READY assessment of the business climate. Government departments, banks and businesses are to review the indicators, collect data and identify priority reforms, according to an official statement cited by ADI.

Djibouti’s delegated Ministry for Investment and Private Sector Development and the World Bank opened a three-day workshop on 1 November on the B-READY 2027 assessment of the business climate. The meeting is being held at the Red Sea Hotel until 3 November, according to an official statement cited by ADI.

The B-READY assessment examines regulation, public services for businesses and the implementation of rules across ten areas, including business start-ups, employment, taxation, international trade and dispute resolution. Government departments, banks, businesses and professional organisations are taking part in the workshop to review the indicators and questionnaires and appoint those responsible for collecting data.

The next steps include processing the questionnaires for the 2027 edition, selecting priority reforms and drawing up a roadmap. The workshop is chaired by Ali Houmed Aboubaker, secretary-general of the delegated Ministry for Investment and Private Sector Development.
