The Central Office for the Suppression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (Ocrtis) has referred two suspects, R. Kane and L. Diakité, to the public prosecutor’s office with 850 grammes of hashish seized in connection with suspected trafficking between Casablanca and Dakar, according to Seneweb.
The seizure included eight 50-gramme slabs and nine balls of hashish. The two suspects are being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, organised international drug trafficking and complicity, according to the Senegalese media outlet.
The operation by Ocrtis, the Senegalese unit responsible for combating drug trafficking, led to the dismantling of part of the alleged network. It came the day after two suspects were arrested in Dakar in a hashish trafficking case, announced on 4 November.
