Ghanaian Deputy Education Minister Clement Abas Apaak called on the approximately 170 teachers and employees of the Savannah College of Education in Daboya to return to work and asked the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to meet staff to discuss their demands, according to Starr FM.

CETAG and CENTSAG suspended their strike from 1 November 2026 and asked their members to resume their duties, while maintaining their demands related to delays in the administrative migration of staff, according to MyJoyOnline. The unions said the suspension did not permanently resolve the dispute.

After interventions by regional and local officials, traditional leaders, the college management and the district police commander, the unions said discussions with management had made progress, according to MyJoyOnline. Their leaders were due to meet the director-general and budget director of GTEC on 3 November to clarify the steps and timetable for the migration, including for the 15 limited recruitment authorisations.
