Burkina Faso’s Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo visited an exhibition on Burkina Faso’s cultural heritage at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts in Moscow on Friday 30 October 2026. The exhibition features works in bronze made using the lost-wax technique and traditional African textiles, as part of the third Russia-Africa Summit, according to Netafrique.
The travelling exhibition, supported by the Russian Centre for Public Diplomacy, had previously stopped in Novosibirsk and Kazan. Its presentation in Moscow coincides with the opening in Ouagadougou of the 18th edition of the Ouagadougou International Arts and Crafts Fair, where Russia is represented, according to Netafrique.
The visit follows Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo’s statements on local processing at the Russia-Africa Summit on 26 October and his rejection of any tutelage over Burkina Faso on 28 October. It also follows Burkinabe President Ibrahim Traoré’s call to make the Russia-Africa partnership a reality on 29 October, during the same meeting.
