The two countries are marking 70 years of diplomatic relations this year.
The summit is due to consider three draft documents: a declaration, a text on the civilian uses of artificial intelligence and an action plan for the Russia-Africa partnership for 2027-2029. According to the ambassador, the documents address political, economic, security, scientific and health cooperation, among other issues. The visit follows the Sudanese army chief’s reaffirmation to Donald Trump of his support for peace efforts on 15 October.
