Zimbabwe’s mineral sales could exceed $5.3 billion by the end of the year, driven by lithium, platinum-group metals, steel and ferrochrome. Rising global prices and efforts to curb mineral leakages support the forecast, according to the Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe’s mineral sales are expected to exceed $5.3 billion by the end of 2026, driven by the performance of lithium, platinum-group metals, steel and ferrochrome, according to the Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe (MMCZ), the public body responsible for marketing minerals.

The MMCZ attributes the increase to favourable global commodity prices and efforts to limit mineral leakages, reports Daily News.
