Université Norbert Zongo (UNZ) won the Super Cup of the National Centre for University Works (CENOU), after a final played in Bobo-Dioulasso, according to Lefaso.net. The team captain received the trophy from officials.

CENOU director general Noël Thiombiano praised the performance of the two teams: “It was a very evenly matched game between two excellent teams. And no one failed to give their best; it is Burkinabè youth that triumphed,” he said. He described the tournament as the culmination of the sporting and cultural year for which his institution is responsible.

UNZ president Dr Wendkouni Awa Eugénie Maïga described the victory as “the culmination of many years of effort”, attributing the success to the commitment of the coach, the coaching staff and the university community, as well as solidarity between the institution’s sporting disciplines.
