An international cocaine trafficking network made up of Tunisians and foreigners has been dismantled, with the discovery of a linked group in Ariana governorate. The operation on 4 November led to ten arrests, the seizure of 31 cocaine capsules, two vehicles and nearly 23,000 dinars, according to the El Gorjani Judicial Police Directorate.

Ten people were arrested in Tunisia during two anti-drug operations carried out on 4 and 6 November, with 31 cocaine capsules, 38 plates of cannabis resin weighing nearly four kilograms, three vehicles and around 23,000 dinars seized. The first operation, conducted on 4 November by the anti-narcotics sub-directorate of the El Gorjani Judicial Police Directorate, led to the arrest of seven suspects linked to an international cocaine trafficking network, according to Business News.

Investigators subsequently identified a group linked to the network in Ariana governorate. The second operation, carried out on 6 November, led to the arrest of three more people, two of whom were the subject of wanted notices; one had been sentenced to ten years in prison, according to Business News.

After consultation with the public prosecutor's office, the ten suspects were placed in custody for offences related to drug trafficking and money laundering. Investigators are continuing their inquiries into the network's supply and distribution channels, according to Business News.
