Algerian carmaker Tirsam has begun deliveries of the TIRSAM TOURING, a 15-seat minibus for passenger transport. The model is the second minibus of this capacity offered on the Algerian market, after the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, reports Maghreb Emergent.

Algerian carmaker Tirsam began deliveries this week of its 15-seat minibus, the TIRSAM TOURING, according to Maghreb Emergent.

Tirsam has thus become the second manufacturer operating in Algeria to offer a minibus of this capacity, after Mercedes-Benz, which sells 15- and 24-seat versions of its Sprinter locally, reports Maghreb Emergent. These vehicles are notably used on rural and intercity routes, where the available supply remains limited for transport operators.

The launch comes as restrictions on vehicle imports make it more difficult to renew fleets. Tirsam, whose headquarters and production complex are located in the Kechida industrial zone in Batna, is continuing to diversify its range, according to the same media outlet.
