He was speaking in Manyara at the opening of training on civic education and good governance for local officials and staff, Daily News reports.
Abdallah Ulega asked officials to welcome complainants respectfully and without discrimination, and to take account of the needs of people with disabilities and older people. Responses can be provided by phone, in writing or at an appointment in public offices, he said.
Manyara Regional Commissioner Martine Shegela cited land disputes among the region’s challenges, linking them to certain violations of the law. The ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Seif Shekalaghe, said the training had already been held in 22 regions and would continue in seven others.
