Romania has again suspended the processing of visa applications from Algerian nationals, according to its embassy in Algiers. The measure, in force until further notice after a resumption from 17 to 30 September, is attributed to a shortage of consular staff and temporary assignments, the Romanian diplomatic mission said.

Romania has again suspended, until further notice, the issuing of visas to Algerian nationals, the Romanian embassy in Algiers announced on 6 October. The measure includes the processing of visa applications and will remain in force until new arrangements are adopted, according to the diplomatic mission.

Consular activities briefly resumed from 17 to 30 September, after a previous period of suspension, the embassy said.
