Namibian state oil company Namcor has reopened its Otavi service station in the Otjozondjupa region after bringing it back into operation on Thursday. The company describes the site, located on a major road, as a way to strengthen fuel supply, according to a Namcor statement.

Namcor, Namibia’s national oil company, reopened its Otavi service station on Thursday in the Otjozondjupa region. Victoria Sibeya, Namcor’s managing director, said in a statement issued on Thursday that the reopening was intended to bring the site back into operation and strengthen regular access to petroleum products.

The station is located along the main highway crossing the region and on a major transport corridor, according to Namcor. The company said the site was intended in particular to meet the fuel needs of communities and motorists using the route.
