Morocco’s National Airports Office plans to invest 336 million dirhams to equip the future terminal area of Casablanca Mohammed V Airport. The contract includes 47 boarding bridges, 60 electrical converters and 61 ground guidance systems, according to La Vie éco.

The National Airports Office (ONDA) has launched a 336 million dirham tender to equip the future terminal area of Casablanca Mohammed V Airport with 47 passenger boarding bridges, including two suitable for the Airbus A380, La Vie éco reports. The contract also includes 60 electrical converters and 61 guidance systems for aircraft parked adjacent to the terminal.

The bridges will be air-conditioned and connected to a computerised supervision system allowing the status of installations, alarms and incident records to be monitored. The contractor will have 24 months from the service order to complete the work, followed by a 12-month warranty, according to La Vie éco.

Maintenance will be covered by a conditional tranche estimated at 26.298 million dirhams. It may be renewed annually for five years after final acceptance of the equipment, in accordance with the terms of the contract.

The expansion of the equipment comes as Moroccan airports handled 29.3 million passengers during the first nine months of 2026, according to a report published on 26 October. This figure is recalled in the Moroccan airports traffic report.
