Kylian Mbappé, a Real Madrid forward and captain of the France team, chose as his favourite meme an image depicting him with the face of Mao Zedong, the former Chinese leader. He said the caricature made him laugh a lot during his appearance on The Bridge, according to La Nouvelle Tribune.

The French footballer explained that he regularly sent the image to his friends when they played online on PlayStation. Mbappé is also parodied as Mobutu on social media, earning him the nickname ‘Mobut’ among some France team-mates.
