Lesotho lost by three runs to Gambia in the Africa Cricket Association regional qualifying tournament in Abuja and were bowled out after scoring 109 in 19.5 overs while chasing 113. Gambia had scored 112 for nine wickets, according to the Lesotho Cricket Association.

Lesotho finished fourth with one win from five matches and two points. Nigeria and Uganda secured the two qualifying places for the African regional final.

Coach Dzikamai Mavhiko said the tournament had highlighted the team’s difficulties: it does not have a dedicated cricket ground and faces opponents whose players can commit to the sport full-time. He called for sustained investment in infrastructure and player development. The association said the team had shown promising signs and would need to build on this experience in its next international fixtures.
