CAPS United will face Highlanders at Rufaro Stadium for a place in the Chibuku Cup final. Before that fixture, Hardrock and FC Hunters will contest the first semi-final, the Daily News of Zimbabwe reports.

CAPS United and Highlanders will meet on Saturday 31 October at Rufaro Stadium in Harare for a place in the Chibuku Super Cup final, Zimbabwe’s national football cup, the Daily News reports.

CAPS United are looking to end a ten-year trophy drought, while Highlanders have not won the trophy for seven years. In the other semi-final, first-division newcomers Hardrock will face FC Hunters at Chahwanda Stadium, according to the same outlet.

The match comes after CAPS United’s 1-0 defeat to Scottland in the league on 30 October, as FC Hunters had also knocked the club out of the Munhumutapa Cup on 4 October. The last meeting between the two teams in this competition had therefore preceded their new encounter for a place in the final, according to articles published by our outlet.
