The Magaji of the Abangbe Dilu community, Jamiu Akanni, has asked the federal authorities and those of Kwara State to rescue four family members abducted in Ilorin East. Mansurat Musa, her son Ramadan, Semiu Ahmed and Sofia Ahmed were kidnapped between the night of 24 October and the early hours of 25 October, according to Punch.
Jamiu Akanni called on security agencies to pursue available leads, strengthen surveillance and prevent further attacks in the community and neighbouring areas. He also asked Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to coordinate operations with federal and local authorities and community leaders, according to Punch.
The appeal comes after four family members were abducted in Ilorin, as reported on 31 October. Abangbe Dilu residents were also urged to pass on to security services any information that could help locate the victims.
