Joy, a Kenyan domestic worker in Saudi Arabia, died after collapsing while playing football with her employer’s child; doctors reportedly suggested a heart attack. Her friend Ruth Kerubo recounts their last conversation, held a few hours before her death, according to Tuko.
A young woman was found dead in a ditch in Pélengana, in the Ségou region, on Saturday 31 October 2026. She reportedly fell with her motorbike and died from her injuries at around 2pm, according to sources cited by Studio Tamani.

Milka Nduta, an 89-year-old widow and mother of seven, was found dead near her farm in Kiambu County, Kenya. Unidentified assailants reportedly then set fire to her house and water tanks, according to residents’ accounts reported by Tuko.

Kenya deems Saudi Arabia’s travel restrictions excessive after an imported Ebola case. The 135 contacts of the patient were identified, including 118 placed in quarantine, and the eight confirmed cases are linked to the initial case, with no community transmission; no new case has been reported since 19 October, according to Kenyans.co.ke, Tuko and Citizen Digital.

Saudi Arabia suspended travel by its citizens to Kenya, halted all visas for Kenyan travellers and barred entry to people who had stayed in an Ebola-affected country during the previous 21 days, according to Tuko, Kenyans.co.ke, Citizen Digital and Malawi24. The measure adds to restrictions already applied to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and South Sudan; Malawi24 says travellers from countries neighbouring affected areas will also face enhanced checks.
