Kenya plans to open an office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to attract foreign investment and strengthen exchanges with Gulf businesses. The office would be the second pilot project under Kenya’s international investment offices model, after the one launched in Hangzhou, China, according to the Kenyan Embassy in Riyadh, cited by Capital FM.
The planned office is to present investment opportunities in Kenya and other African markets to Saudi businesses and institutional investors. It will also facilitate exchanges with investors and promote Kenyan projects, notably thanks to Jeddah’s position on the Red Sea.
The initiative follows agreements concluded in July 2026 on export promotion and the expansion of the partnership between Saudi EXIM Bank, the Saudi state-owned export finance bank, and the Kenya Development Corporation.
