The mission includes the Moi International Stadium Kasarani and Talanta Sports City, to check deadlines and standards, according to Africa Top Sports.

The secretary-general of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Samson Adamu, has arrived in Nairobi with a delegation tasked with inspecting Kenya’s sports infrastructure ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, according to Africa Top Sports.

Officials are due to examine, in particular, progress on the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani and Talanta Sports City. Their mission concerns compliance with delivery deadlines and the international standards required for Kenya and its East African neighbours to co-host the competition, Africa Top Sports reports.

The inspection comes after the announcement on 31 October of a match between Bayern Munich and Ajax Amsterdam presented as a test ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations in Kenya. The Bayern-Ajax match scheduled in Kenya is intended in particular to support preparations for the competition’s infrastructure.
