The second edition of the Extreme H off-road World Cup, scheduled for 29 to 31 October in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia, has been postponed to 2027. The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile and organisers cited logistical difficulties and did not announce a new date, according to Reuters.

The second edition of the Extreme H off-road World Cup, a motor racing competition featuring hydrogen-powered vehicles, has been postponed to 2027 in Saudi Arabia, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and organisers announced on Tuesday, according to Reuters. The event was due to take place from 29 to 31 October in Qiddiya City.

Organisers cited logistical difficulties that prevented them from properly preparing and staging the event. They said they wanted to continue working with their Saudi partners, but had not yet set a new date for 2027. Extreme H follows Extreme E, an off-road competition featuring electric vehicles.

The postponement comes amid tensions linked to attacks by the Houthis, an Iranian-backed Yemeni movement, against Saudi Arabia. The Dakar Rally will also not be held in the kingdom, Reuters reports. The Houthis claimed on 27 October to have struck the Saudi Ras Tanura refinery, according to an article on their claim.
