Angola is taking part in the China International Import Expo with a delegation of 138 participants, including 26 private companies and 20 public institutions. The Angolan presence aims to promote national products, attract investment and develop trade with China, according to an official statement.

Angola is taking part in the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2026), being held in Shanghai until 10 November, with a delegation of 138 participants. It comprises 26 private companies and 20 public institutions and is led by Rui Miguêns de Oliveira, Angola’s Minister of Industry and Trade, according to an official statement cited by Jornal F8.

The delegation seeks to promote Angolan products and services, attract foreign investment and identify new opportunities for trade cooperation. The minister’s presence is also intended to strengthen the institutional dimension of Angola’s participation and economic relations between Luanda and Beijing, according to the statement.

The participation comes as residents of Macao and Angolan citizens are expected to be able to enter the two territories without visas, following the signing on 4 September 2026 of a reciprocal visa exemption agreement. Wong Sio Chak, Macao’s Secretary for Administration and Justice, said the measure should facilitate tourism, academic exchanges and trade relations between the two populations, Jornal F8 reports.
