Angolan airline TAAG has opened bookings for its route between Luanda and Praia, with two weekly flights in each direction. The service is due to begin on 12 December and will mainly be operated by 137-seat Airbus A220-300 aircraft, according to the airline’s statement reported by Expresso das Ilhas.

TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola, Angola’s national airline, has opened bookings for its route between Luanda and Praia, in Cape Verde. The service will begin on 12 December with two weekly flights departing from the Angolan capital, on Mondays and Saturdays, and return flights on Tuesdays and Sundays, according to a statement from the airline.

The journey is expected to take about four hours each way. The route will preferably be operated by Airbus A220-300 aircraft able to carry 137 passengers, including 12 in Premium class and 125 in economy class. Tickets are available on the FlyTAAG website and app, through the call centre, and from the airline’s agencies and partners.

TAAG presents the route as the first stage of a regional project that envisages an extension to Dakar in 2027. Marketing of this extension will depend on authorisation from Senegalese civil aviation authorities and the completion of operational procedures. The airline aims to make Luanda a connecting hub for its domestic network as well as for other African and international destinations.
