Alliance Insurance Company, a Lesotho insurance group, has launched HOLA, a digital platform for stokvels, cooperatives and other collective savings associations, according to Sunday Express. It allows members to track their contributions, savings and the group’s other financial transactions in a system presented as secure and transparent.
Alliance Insurance Company chief executive Mahlohonolo Lebina said HOLA was intended to help groups turn their collective savings into economic opportunities. The platform also aims to reduce reliance on manual registers and accounting reconciliations carried out by members.
