Lesotho has finalised its national health policy for 2025-2035, as part of efforts to strengthen its health system and move towards universal health coverage, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO).

In its newsletter covering the third quarter of 2026, the WHO said it had worked with the government and its partners on the digitalisation of health services, investment in vaccination and resource mobilisation. It also helped improve hygiene, sanitation and infectious disease prevention during initiation ceremonies, and advance the project for a medical school in Lesotho.
