Zineb El Adaoui, Morocco’s first president of the Court of Auditors, called for public-finance auditing to be used to support growth, investment efficiency and confidence in African institutions, according to L’Information. She was speaking by videoconference on Thursday 29 October during a session held in Moscow on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum.

At the meeting, devoted to government auditing as a guarantee of sustainable growth, the Moroccan official said that supreme audit institutions and public-finance and accounting bodies have a direct impact on the economic life and prosperity of African countries, L’Information reports.

The session was held as the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum brought together several African and Russian officials in Moscow.
