Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese Al-Nassr striker, scored three goals in 15 minutes during a 5-3 league win over Al-Kholood in Saudi Arabia, taking his career total to 985 goals. The result puts Al-Nassr second in the standings, level on points with the leaders, according to Bénin Web TV.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored three goals in 15 minutes during Al-Nassr’s 5-3 victory over Al-Kholood, his Saudi club, on Thursday 29 October in the Saudi Arabian league. The Portugal captain has now scored 985 career goals, according to Bénin Web TV.

The striker scored between the 66th and 81st minutes, after the first half ended 2-2. Julien Domingues opened the scoring for Al-Kholood, before Ângelo Gabriel and Sadio Mané scored for Al-Nassr; Loïc Essomba equalised before the break. Domingues then scored a penalty in added time.

The hat-trick brings Ronaldo closer to the 1,000-goal mark, which he could reach with 15 more goals. The victory puts Al-Nassr second in the league on goal difference, behind Al-Qadsiah.

The new personal record came a day after the publication of Ronaldo’s 2008 season ranking, voted the best in Ballon d’Or history in an article published on 28 October.
