The Senegalese kung fu wushu federation announced that Worèye Ndiaye, a Senegalese wushu athlete, had withdrawn from the rest of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Dakar 2026 after suffering a knee injury, Senego reports. Medical examinations concluded that she could not resume competition.

Worèye Ndiaye was due to compete in the bare-hand taijiquan event, scheduled for 10.30am. She was kept overnight at Dakar's Principal Hospital Centre and is in a stable condition, according to the federation, quoted by Senego.
